Default Wrong Side

Oops! My error. I was playing the wrong pocket. Please negate my previous thought.

I would come off the fourteen ball and one rail on or behind the ten ball.

It's early in the game..no reason to panic. Hope/wait for an unforced error by your opponent.

The balls are laying such that you can run a bunch if he messes up.

I just want to make a point of view and im not criticizing anyone selections but. This position is obviously heavily favors player A but player B's upcoming is not a do or die situation as several members have stated. We have all been down 4-1, 5-1, 6-1 and 7-1 in many game where our position is as bad as it is here and come back and won those games. If every time we are in a behind in the ball count and are in a tough position we feel we must take a flyer or we are doomed, then we will be doomed for sure. Keith

its all about shooting the shot that gives you the best percentage chance of winning that game. and when your chance is low it stays low unless you do something to change that.

it is like being stuck down in a well. do you wait and hope someone comes along or do you try to climb out while you still have the strength to do so.
which is more likely is the decision to make.

here there are no real safe shots that give you real hope. sure you can extend the game some but it looks like your position is going to get worse, so pick a time to do something that can increase your winning chances.

No one picked this shot seems kinda natural to me, if you get lucky and make you might get a few.

I agree with you Keith that you can overcome being down and be patient hoping they mess up or leave you an easier shot but thing is, in this layout, i am not sure what that would be?

They old saying is, if the saftey is just as hard as the shot, shoot the shot!

It doesn't look like from the picture you can get on or behind the 10 ball or sure, that would be the shot for sure, but looks like you come up short. Best you can do from there is get to the long rail and hope to not sell out a cross corner.

Rod's 1 railer and Jimmy's 2 railer are both good 2 way shots if are confident you can control the CB speed, but other than that, I don't see a real good defensive options that I like.

I am a pretty defensive player I think but here imma shootin!

EDIT - looking at this puzzle a little more another option I may try to to shoot the 14 kind of straight ahead, cutting it a little bit into the 6, playing the 14 towards my pocket and follow the CB up table to long rail then rest on head and leave him straight in on 8 and long. I like these shots as well (banking balls off of caroms)

With the ball count advantage that my opponent has he will try to protect that lead and not take a chance with a long shot if I can position that bank shot near my hole. He will most like play off that ball. Maybe on my next turn I will have a better opportunity. This might be my choice using right English.

you can masse around that 5-3 here and get behind the 10. you may even knock in the 10. cb takes off so much to the right off the rail it is not even a hard hit to accomplish, big buffer there.

or, you can bunt around with your thumb up your ass and lose the game (to a good player anyway).

Absolutely, if you can get there. Looks like the green ball is in the way though.

There is a good 3/4 rail kick to end under the 10.

A's long rail-head rail-B's long rail. Hit the 10 or go under it.

Yes I think I can walk to the table and do this 1st try.
Nuke has seen me kick. Tx One Pocket has seen it. Pilot has seen it.

When you play poor position , you learn to kick and fullcue jump
