Default MY VERY Dear Friend...

MY VERY Dear Friend, Charlie Ursitti, passed away this morning!

I spoke to him about a month ago, he said he was hanging in there. So distraught I can hardly type. I'm calling Pat Martone now is get some info.

R.I.P. My Dear friend, I will miss you more than words can say! YOU are TRULY one the BEST persons I ever met!

Charlie was also one of the, foremost historians on Pool & Billiards since their conception.

Sorry for your loss Bill. I didn't really know Charlie but being around pool, I of course knew of him. His reputation was one of honor! RIP Charlie!

Sorry for your loss, Bill ~ I never met Charlie but Bert Schrager spoke very highly of him so I know he was special. May he rest in peace.

I am very sorry for your loss Bill. I didn't know Charlie personally but I was in the Blvd. poolroom in the 70's and he often stopped in when he was in Phila. Mike Fusco was the room owner and they would chat for an hour or so. I never saw Charlie hit a single ball but I do know that he dedicated his life, for decades, to maintain the history of the game including tournament records for all kinds of players in various games. If he hasn't already been recognized for meritorious service to the game of pool, in my opinion, he is someone that should receive serious consideration for such an honor.
