Writing style eerily reminescent of the late great George Fels.
I miss his prose.

Ghost....thanks.

The author writes with an enjoyable efficiency.

loved, in another article...where he wrote that his friend was a good photographer, but had the advantage of having a camera.;)

This is a short essay written by a casual pool-playing guy, re. his growing up in Chicago 1950's-60's and getting hooked on pool for awhile...I was looking through my misc. pool files, saw this again, and thought some of youse guys might enjoy reading it ----->

i am fairly certain that place in decatur was on the corner of cerro gordo and eldorado. my pops occasionally took me there on saturday mornings - i vividly remember the first time i ever "played" snooker. dad worked for nicky striglos, no problems ever to be had - of course, as a child all that stuff was off my radar..... always a big domino game up front.
