I found this previously posted 'very spectacular' bank shot by Bank Pool HOf'er Gary Spaeth, while trying to research his father Joey, a OP HOF nominee.
This is an incredibly hard shot, just to get out of the kiss. If you stop the video @ 30 sec. then click forward and stopping it where the ob passes by the cb ball it is very close. At first I could not figure this shot out and then reviewed the video and realized the ob comes off the point to accomplish getting that much spin on the ob, and you further realize he had to play the double bank to get out of the kiss. A true master! Whitey

Yeah, that's a real nice shot. But I don't believe the CB comes off the point, but off the short rail near the point. You can see how high up the long rail the CB rebounds. He used either straight left or low left to get the CB out of the way, and to impart inside onto the OB.

Yeah, I love that shot. That indeed is an incredibly tough angle at which to hit that kind of shot though, thanks for sharing!
