$1240 up for grabs.

Rafael Martinez, John Henderson, the Baby and a host of other great players in the northern California area. Even a few from Reno came down to play and a friend of Rafael's from Seattle... not a bad players at all.

Anywhere else 35 One Pocket players would be a two day event...

these guys are FAST.

35 players taking 12 hrs for a 1p tourney really is fast. Not only fast players but also good tournament directing. Thank you.

Nice to see Amar back playing. He's a great player when he stays away from the sauce. Is he still primarily playing poker?

I've forgotten what format you use, Tom. Is it race to a certain number of balls? Race to 2? Single elim.? Nice turnout.

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. The players are the real story here. They all know that it is a ONE day event and very few times do they even consider pushing balls up table and taking more then 30 minutes a game.

It is their tournament. They know what to do.

Amar is on the wagon, only playing golf and pool. It is like he is on a mission. He comes in early every day and practices alone. He is going to be back on track again soon.

Double Elimination, race to two on both sides, alternate break. No time limit, no shot clock.

We started around 120pm and finished at 115am.

Great to hear about Amar. If he stays out of trouble he should go far in pool. He and his cousin Tony both come from good families, and I think they have good basic valules.
