I tried the phone app version without a warning buzzer the other day...
60 second clock...
It reeked with annoyance, taking away from the enjoyment of the game by having to be constantly mindful of resetting the darn thing, the overall nuisance of dealing with the when to start it and stop it thing... It was a pain... Players won't do it...
It would need a monitor, someone hired to run it... With a big clock visible on both ends and above the table... Expensive and ain't gonna happen IMO...
Much has been said about pace of play and most times in tournaments slow play can be dealt with by the TD, and IMO it should be for the benifit of all.
Playing for cash is totally different IMO, if you cannot tolerate the pace of an opponent, don't play... Seems simple enough...
