Thirty-nine players Saturday at Hard Times in Sacramento.

Tournament Director Brian La Flamme

I got knocked out early and Amar Kang had just won the hot seat. Looked like a long wait for the losers side to catch up, so I got out of there around 10 pm.

Do not know where my one pocket game has gone again. I have been playing more 9 ball in tournaments lately and have been too aggressive with not enough patience. Maybe from watching Frost running nines and tens against me in Reno lol.

Hard times results

Hard times results

One Pocket results:

1 Amar Kang $360
2 Rafael Martinez Chavez $250
3 Roy FutternicK $170
4 Tony Melendez $120
5 Chris Cruz $80
6 John Lintini $80
7 Patrick Rhea $55
8 Patrick McLeod $55
9 Jarvis Haskins $40
10 Jeff Gregory $40
11 Bart Mahoney $40
12 Robert Aldana Jr. $40

Nice to see Roy back at it and doing well in his first tournament in a while. Amar & Rafael are always favorites for the top spots along with Billy Palmer, who took an early exit like myself on this one. Said he has been working too much lately.

Hi John, I just spent a week in the SFV. I wish I knew you were in town. I went to Santa Monica Billiards twice. After playing for a week in New Orleans on Diamonds I played Rich and got drilled on those GC's.

How would Rich stack up to that money list?

I also played a couple of guys at Plush Pocket in Van Nuys.

I think Rich is underrated. He plays sporty I think. If he could jack up his offensive abilities, he'd be so dangerous I feel. I'm very curious to hear John's response though.

This is Hard Times in Sacramento.

Down there I would make Rich the favorite. Up here it is pick em with him against our best.

Big $4,000 added one pocket tournament at California Billiards in Mountain View the end of April. I am sure Rich will be here. He made it last year.
