Here is the poster for the event, glad to be a part of it. This is one of Arizona's best rooms with great food, full bar, players, and plenty of space. Should be a great time and hope to see you all there. :)

Thanks Martin for entering. Just a note about a recent thread on AZB questioning the disbursment of tournament added monies. Bullshooters October Onepocket tournament has a $200 entry and $4000 added. All money will be paid back to the top 1/4 of the field. No green fees no director fee. All the money paid back to the players .Guaranteed. Hope to see you there.

As an added bonus for entering we have arranged with Mark Griffin and CSI to award a spot in the 2013 US Open Onepocket to be held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in July next year. All players entered into the tournament at Bullshooters will be put in the draw and one lucky player will win a free entry ($340 value). So send in those entries before October 5th.

As I said on AZbilliards Mark is a very generous person but Bullshooters will be paying the $340 forr the US Open entry.
With three weeks to go we have twelve signed up. I Am trying to give this $4000 away and hope pool players don't dog it by not coming out here to get it. Come on send in those entries. on the bright side with $200 entry there is already $6400 in the prize fund.

Just a bump for a great tournament..Tres and the owner of Bullshooter's are two of the solidest people, anywhere in pool. Anything they say, WILL be done !!!

PS..Mark Griffin would not be involved, in any way, if that were not the case.

frmn, I'm sure you realize that pool players almost refuse to be tacked down, if there's any possible way to avoid it. They most all wait until the last minute, just in case "something better" comes along. Most are used to playing tournaments where they're always welcomed, with no restrictions on number of players. But yet, they're the first to whine if they show up, and the field has filled...

IMO avoid "holding a spot" for anyone. Tell them if they don't commit in advance that they may not have a spot. I don't know if you're requiring the entry fee in order to hold a spot; but that would be a good idea. With a field of 48 you probably won't fill up, so that may be why guys will drag their feet-- knowing that they can get in as long as their sorry butt shows up.:D

You're putting on a helluva nice event, with good prize money, so don't be reluctant to be strict about your requirements. Good luck!

P.S. I hope you'll let us know who placed in the money after the event. I'm always ticked when guys endlessly hawk their events with everything from posters to pleas leading up to tournament time; but when the event is over, they never have the courtesy of saying boo about who won, or how the players finished.

Doc,

Thats because us guys after all that work and running the event are just plumb worn out at the end. You are right though we should give out results for those who can't make it. I promise I will try harder in the future.

You did a good job Chris, I remember being on the phone for an hour with that guy who was doing the story with results on AZ Billiards so the results were posted online and you could see it live on the live streams also. This tournament at Bullshooters will be live streamed by myself also and results will be posted. I have an idea that might be able to get the brackets online or at least I can do snapshots as it progresses of the brackets.

Chris, my comments weren't directed to you. It was just a general observation. I've run events myself, and I'm usually shot by the time I get home. But I always try to get the results posted the next day. However, some guys, some events, you never hear jack. But you HAVE heard the build-up for months...

I'm looking forward to your good event!
