Player sponsorship to Derby City

Okay, once again thanks to Greg Sullivan, we will be able to sponsor an initial entry into both the Banks and the One Pocket at Derby City again this year. Buy backs are not covered unless we raise some extra money.

How do you all want to proceed with this that will be fun and generate buzz for Derby City and OnePocket.org?

I think you and your group of hall of fame guys should come up with a list of names and have the members vote on it not unlike the the hall of fame... fair and balanced right...

To me this is pretty much a no-brainer. Sponsor Shannon who was elected this year into both the One Pocket and Bank Pool Halls of Fame. He wrote that he was going to Derby City and was going to try to win. Talk about generating a buzz!

Imo it should be freddy for the banks, and John henderson or Dr. Bill for the onepocket. All three guys contribute and have played the game for many years at a high level

Yes, Shannon has won everything at DCC, including the all-around -- except the One Pocket. He's still working on that! So both Brumback and Daulton already get a full pass due to being past all-around champions.

Well-- The Beard literally "wrote the book" on bank pool. Why not give him the honor with the banks entry this year? He played damn well in Tunica, beating Fargo and some of the other heavyweights.

Cardone would be good for the 1P, but he doesn't ever play in the events. I'd suggest Henderson, but reportedly he's not attending this year.

Of course Freddy is the correct and obvious choice for the banks entry...only reason I didn't recommend him is that I thought he was picked as the op.org sponsored banks entry last year..:confused:

Deeman has been a good supporter and ambassador for OnePocket.org and has not been sponsored yet -- even though he won a raffle for sponsorship last year -- he donated it back!

Since I can't make Derby I'll kick up a hundred and a quarter for both the buy backs. That way I'll be there 'in spirit'. Just tell me where to send it Steve.
