Well, I made it to the sixth round by default.

I was supposed to play Corey Deuel at 10 am but he missed the match and I won by forfeit. I would have just as soon played, even though it is probably another $100 or so in my pocket.

My next match this afternoon is with Sylver Ochoa and I am not exactly a favorite in that match either. Not impossible in a short race, but I will have bring it to pull this out.

Funny how things turn around. I thought I had my third round match won. I had 7 balls and my out ball hanging in the hole. He took it out, managed to get balls over on his side and when I made an error, he beat me.

Still have to finish the match with Ghost and Bernie but not as long as I am still in the tournament.

John,

How are Bernie and Ghost doing in the tournament...I know you guys are awfully busy, but updates (except for yours)...have been almost non-existant..;)

This leads me to believe the Ghost (and unnamed other's) did not spring for an I-pad, or the $12 a day for the internet..;)

Deeman, please don't tell me you forgot your charger, for your I-pad.............. P.S...Is CaliRed still alive ???..

I saw it on the scoreboard. Dick, go to derbycityclassic.com and you will see links to all the results and in progress matches. Be patient sometimes it doesn't come up but I think it is because they are updating.

John thats exellent you are realy playing and enjoying the game the way it should be enjoyed.

Playing long hard grind sessons toughens you up for the winter. And it showes.

If we ever play some more long sessions it will toughen you up for bear meat. It was great seaing you again. And that classick smile.

Keep playing hard and working on youre game. You are going in the wright direction.

Always keep your concentration and mind on the game and fight for every ball. Her is another little tip when playing . Do something on every shot. Dont just shoot the shoot. You do something on every shot.

You have the desire and ambition and love for the game. And if you can shoot better and play better position. And make less mistakes and think better you can bring youre game too a higher levele.

These are the ingredences too beating youre opponents. And if you can shoot better and play better position and shoot better shoots and make less mistakes then your opponent. You will win.

Nobody can over come that. Its something too think about and bring youre game up. And it soes not matter if you are 100 years old. I am saying this because I see howe much you love the game.

But you are doing good and if you hold on too that desire you have. You will win games fust on youre desire too win. And not too meny people have that quality.

Good luck too a great man and the love for the game. A.B.

GHost and Bernie are out and Sylver just knocked me out. I had him 5 to -1 the first game an lost. Never had a smell after that.

Ghost is sick and don't know if we will finish or not. Depends how he feels tomorrow.

There is action but it is tight. I will see what I can stir up tonight.

Yes I'm still alive. Taking so many pain pills I got constipation  It's tough to roll out of bed in the morning. I look like the hunchback of Notre Dame

Besides, I got a new friend now. He tells me lots of stories and sometimes even treats me to the same ones over and over.:)

Stay tuned for a interview I did with him.

PS.... If you want to play him, you got to pick a number (he produces a rubber banded deck of numbers) I was 21:eek:

That is Bunny Rogoff, also known as Pots and Pans.

Quite a famous pool player/hustler and very much a character. Often dresses up like Charlie Chaplin and can tell jokes/stories for hours.

Lives in Las Vegas now.

I honor Bunny every year here by wearing a t shirt "I'm really old now and need the 7, 8 & the break!his favorite saying. saying. I also wear a tux on one on day of the Derby as does he.

a nifty player in his day....

just lost my first 9 ball match 7-6 but I have plenty of excuses! :) May buy back in or spend my money on drugs and women!

Earl is playing surprising one pocket to me anyway. It's down to the real killer players now. We can see several world beaters on the tables below us and some amazing shots. Makes you ask, "Why can't I do that?"

the Ghost is sick so we may have to not do the challenge match but we'll let everyone know.

Dick, Yes, I brought my charger but try getting this I pad out a couple of porn starved guys hands! I did not call out Ace by name!

Deeperson,

You are very lucky Cowboy Dennis is not there...He would take your Ipad into the men's room, and you would never see it again..
(..until he passed out from 'self abuse', and the paramedics were summoned)..

Dick,

At least with the Internet the pages don't stick together when you get it back!

I did notice the screen steamed up for a few minutes! :)

Bunny was on my 3.5 hour trip from Vegas to Louisville and when he found out that people couldn't hear his jokes 3 or 4 rows away, he just walked down the asile and told the same jokes over and over.

If that wasn't enough, when we finally got to the Louisville airport I was waiting for a ride to the Horseshoe and decided to get a hot meal at one of the airport resturants. Good meal, not to pricey, but Bunny stops for a quick drink and starts telling his jokes to the patrons at the bar. 45 minutes later...

Now I've heard these jokes at least 3 times within the last 5 hours and getting pretty use to them... Finally got my ride and off to the casino.

I get there and miss his performance for Tuesday day.. but caught his night time show at the Hall of Fame dinner. I think it was Mark Griffin that finally told Bunny to tone it down we were all there for Allen, John, Fargo and Wade. Not Bunny..

I sure wish Bunny would get some new material.... did you read the news today? baby born with mustashe, mother is tickled to death...

Tom,

I'd settle for some new material every 10 years or so! Ace had him sign a cue ball and it is about as long as the U.S. Constitution! :)

He was trying to sign a cue ball at the HOF dinner and got distracted by telling a joke and he tried to keep writing... and got all flustered spelling Bunny, it came out Bungoff.
