freezing on a ball is always good but
if i understand your shot you are cutting the 13 to the left
why would you want to put the 13 on corey's side??

being up in the score i agree with moving the 13
banking the 6 its possible to leave him a cut on the 13 with a natural take out of the 6 depending where it ends up "close"

good observation there..... as creative as corey is in op, im playing safe here--the guy is just too dangerous to take a chance when youre leading 7-4 imho.......

My thinking was this is going to be an up table game and I want to start moving balls to his top corner

What he said (for my education).

I don't think I could resist the 6 ball, especially against a better player (story of my life) who would outmove me in the longer game anyway.

Too many balls could block my straightbacks on my side

The age old debate again

I know that we talked about this in another thread somewhere but it started when Dr. Bill, Corey Deuel and I think Scott Frost were commentating a one pocket match (efren vs gentile).

The debate was, when you send balls up table and get a "wedge" going, would you rather have the wedge in the upper corner of your opponent's side or your own. There was some good reasoning behind both arguments and this reminded me of that same debate.

Here was one of the orginal threads started by keith in 2010:
http://www.onepocket.org/forum/showthread.php?t=3516 (the beard liked the wedge on his opponent's side for what its worth)

Then there was another thread I started with more discussion here:

I guess it depends on the number of balls if there's too many balls then I probably don't want that on my side but if there's just a few then I want em my side
