Mike Zuglan's Joss Tour had a $25,000 added 9-Ball event at the Turning Stone Casino, a several hour drive from me, so a friend of mine and I went and checked it out. They had a full 128 player field, which included Dennis Orcollo and Lee Van Corteza, two recent members of the 'Philipine invasion'. (The original leader of the invasion, Jose Parica, was there too.) A bunch of other top players, too; but no Efren, Busta, Corey or Keith :)

Those that came, could play, though. Both Orcollo and Corteza can really move the cue ball well, and they both use tons of english -- inside, outside, upside-down -- even from a distance, and they both have great speed control.

How long before these guys are sneaking up through the One Pocket ranks :) ??

I took a bunch of photos...

And you can view the rest here:

MAN! When you take some pictures, you take some pictures! Great photos, and excellent quality. Felt like I was there. Too bad it was the white & yellow ball game...:p

I would say that IF Corteza takes up One Pocket, he's got serious potential...

There would have been one Pocket, after hours, except that they don't open up the tables after matches there (typical of casino tournaments -- the hosts want you gambling on their tables).
