Touching
Some one pocket rules need some clarification.
We are not playing if you touch any ball its a scratch.
Its a money game between two locals.:D
It used to be in one pocket that if you moved a ball accidently it went back to its original position, no choice.:sorry Now its a choice thing for the other player. Whats the general rule played elsewhere, anywhere.
Then there is a two ball touch rule that if you move two balls, its a scratch. This I like. What happens if you move multiple balls either intentionally or not. Loss of game?:heh

The Red Shoes Billiards "house rule" is as follows..."if the shooting player disturbs a ball (or balls) while attempting to execute a shot the opposing (non-shooting) player can leave the ball (or balls) where they are OR replace them to their original position" non-shooting players choice. It is NOT a foul UNLESS the "shooter" disturbs a ball in motion OR a ball in motion touches a disturbed ball OR had the disturbed ball remained in position and a ball in motion passes through that location (i.e. would of hit it IF it was still there)...That "IS A FOUL" and the balls remain where they stop (cannot move them back to position if it is a foul).

always used basically that rule. but if any disagreement as to where the balls go it defers to the non shooter.
never was it a fould as the non shooter would put in place where he thought every thing should be. after all he is the one that was the referee for the shot.

of course if someone was out of line the game was cancelled and the gambling was over. but that never seemed to happen.

we also never played sets but one game at a time. so these problems dont happen and no one can take a shot or the match is over.
