First off, I would like to thank all the people responsible for this great tourney.

Bill Rowsey - What a friendly, fun loving host. Has a very friendly and efficient staff. Thanks for added money. Would be nice if this was a twice a year tourney.

Dustin miller and John Crabb - Great organizers and directors of this. Ran smooth, had to incorporate Grady rule 3 or 4 times. No problems at all, smoothly ran tourney.

John Long for bringing his lovely wife, Jeannie. She ran the brackets very efficiently. She also played in tourney. What a touch with the cue. Sweated her giving lessons on kicking and speed control on snooker table playing golf.

Please do not forget to thank SCrzBill, Bill Meyers for the stream. Always great to see Bill.

Action - 1st day played local, Kenny Lofton, 5 or 6 hrs. Broke even getting 9-8.

2nd day - Played TomW for 3 hrs. Lost a little. Quit and matched up with ChicagoFats(Dan). Word of warning again - if you are not long winded at the pool table, you do not want to play this man. Played for about 11 1/2 hrs. At nearly 1:30, all the other games broke up and I had to quit a little ahead.
Payed for this with bad leg cramps all night.

3rd day - Friday, we got the famous pill bottle partner game going. Nick Principe, TomW, Bill Rowsey and moi. Played for a while, very good partners game.
Played TomW again, got a little of my money back. Played JR(John Rawski) short race, had to play excellent defense on this Chicago terror. Very nice person. Barely pulled out win.

Tournament - Bye, then tough matches against Dustin, Lou and very good local player, Johnny Willis.

Sunday - Hotseat match against 1HoleNut(Jason). Went hill - hill, but Jason played very well and beat me.

Elimination match, again playing, my friend, Tom Wirth. Hill - hill, can not make any mistakes or miss. Tom always plays tough and sent me to a 3rd place finish.

The best part of going to Southhaven Rec is that everyone has a great time. Seeing my friend Col Bille, getting to meet and talk with Lou Figueroa,
playing local up and coming Johnny Willis, super nice guy. Nick Beretanos, Tracy Dietrich, nicest guy in the world, Todd Williams.

Always great to shoot the bull with Nick P, Mitch(wanna see that again) Brown, and cannot forget Bill Meyers.

Hope to see you all in Philly. Can not wait. Get your entries in, only a few spots left.

Steve, we missed you, maybe you can make it in fall. See you in Philly, though.

I can nat sign off without saying I miss seeing LSJohn(Nevin) at last couple of tournaments.

Thanks again, Bill Rowsey.:)

Bob, you’re a great person and although your politics are completely screwed up for a man with your intelligence, it’s always fun to see you. Mitch has wrangled me into participating in the Philly Pholly.:lol:eek:

Robert, nice recap, and I can really see the theme through all of these recaps -- how great an event it is, but even more so how warm and fun the host owner and locals are, so yes, I really want to make the next one!!!!

I always learn 2 or 3 shots from you when I play so it is worth the agony. You are an awesome guy and great player. You are also the Yoda of Jedi mind games.

There is something in the water in Texas. Having been there 6 our so times, I almost voted Republican and started looking at AK 47’s in the gun catalogue. I had to watch a Bernie Sanders tape to get back on track.:D

A little surprising, John. Bill, not so much.

Your posts would be funny, if they weren't so tragic and sad.:( Having lived in Texas for several years, I know that the only thing Texans need worry about is all the Californians fleeing "la la land" (5 million in the past ten years) and goofy liberal policies to move to Texas. You can keep the illegal aliens, defecating homeless, and socialist hypocritical politicians, and hopefully stay put. God bless the "miracle of 11/8/2016".
:D:D

Sorry to post this here. The Mellee was a very well run and successful tournament, and all who were involved deserve to be congratulated. But, you gotta pick your mushrooms where you find them. Steve, if you wanna move all these comments to another thread, please do.
