I second Larry's comments of appreciation. Every time I see a new entry I get a little excited. You guys lived in a different age and it's great hearing about it.

Good post, Larry. I too have read and enjoyed all the journal tales. There are a few other guys who could share great stories too (Jerry, Hacker, Frank, Billy I.). But it does take a lot of time to get it all written down.

Larry, it's great that you notice and comment. Music to my ears. Thanx -

Thanks from me also Larry.
Rod.

It does take some time, which I've had since being mostly house bound with health problems, which will hopefully be over in 5 or 6 weeks.

I wish I could've put my posts in chronological order but my memory isn't that good. I'm likely about finished with T.J. I know more but they would be hard for anyone that didn't know him to believe.
Remembering and reminiscing the stories has been fun, it's amazing what you remember and what you forget.

Today was my last day of paternity leave, so I'm back to the grind tmo. I posted my last story that I had drafted, but might be able think up another later on. I need to take a break though because I've been one finger tapping these on my touchscreen phone...so I have a worn fingerprint!

Go ahead and try us, Rod.;) I'm sure that the stories will be interesting. IMO your colloquialisms and manner of phrasing are as enjoyable as the stories.

This has had me remembering stuff I hadn't thought of in years, and it's fun to remember.

I can remember pool matches from over fifty years ago but not what I had for dinner yesterday.:lol

I went through Freddie's beat list a few years back and realized I had played half the guys on the list. The really sad part is most of them beat me.:D

The good news is I ain't done yet. While I did not go this year, I hope I have another Derby or two left in me. I am still in action at Hard Times in Sacramento a couple times a week. The younger guys I play keep getting better and it keeps me on my toes.

John, you're right about the old stuff, it's amazing how many names and such I remember. I have to look on my shirt to remember what I had for lunch. :)

I think it is good exercise for an old brain. When I saw Bob Ogburn at the Super Seniors I remembered playing him 50+ years ago at Five Points Bowl.

That was one of the good memories, I broke even.:D

I have enjoyed posting in the journal. I like that it's just me rambling about random stuff. I also have enjoyed the feedback in pm's that a few have sent me. Thanks everyone.
