Has anybody read it? What a great read. Stories about and quotes by Billy I., Lisciotti, Rempe, many others, and a whole chapter devoted to a match up and banter of Jersey Red vs. Gene Nagy playing one pocket. Awesome. I would rate it 8-7 under WOP and SM&S.

Yes I read it a while back. I remember that banter -- yeah that was cool. That is the book that has a section about pool in the Philipines and it names Efren Reyes -- years before he came to the US and won Red's tournament as Cesar Morales.

I read it the year after it came out, I believe. Saw it in the local library. Read it and immediately went to the mall book store and bought the only copy they had. The library copy was later stolen. I lent my copy out and it came back with a ripped dust jacket. I got another copy from a used book dealer and traded my original copy for The Lions and the Lambs.
Great book!
