1 rail behind the five with right english sending the cue ball into the stack....

If hit well the rock could snuggle up on the one.

Dudley,

That shot is too much risk for too little gain. In all likelihood you'll miss pocketing the ball and leave a cross-corner bank.

Even if you make the ball you have no next shot.

P.S. Nice job with the lines:) . Do you Greenshot?

Careful Dud - you're showing too much speed...you're going to lose your soft action with the Ghost at DCC.....:D

Don't worry,

When you see me play you'll reconsider your respect.... I'm a 30 year old 9 baller who pretends to play one pocket.

(can't stop firing at the hole)

I will most likely crumble when the moving prowess of the "One Pocket Ghost" is unleashed. :D :p ;)

Not sure what greenshot is. I haven't seen the need to download it yet.

I just copied the file to my computer and used paint to draw the lines.

As far as the shot goes--- I usually play the rock only in the spot..... kicking the ball on the thin side. It could come out really bad if hit thick.

kick.JPGI like this shot with right bottom. Nothing fancy, just clear his ball. Trying to protect that ball on my side of the table could get me in trouble. If he can bank it from there then he made a good shot. I suspect a good player would play off it and get the cue ball into the stack.

With nothing near his hole I think I can get out of that. P.S. Does SJD gets at quess at this?

I would hesitate in leaving a clear look at the 7 ball with cue ball. If he could bank the 7 at half of the 15 there would be allot of movement towards his hole. It would be a tricky cue ball on the bank but the results might be devastating.

Fo'sure Dud...no offense to Frank, but...no way would I ever leave my opponent looking at my 7ball like that - I'd quit playing One Pocket if I ever purposely left it like that... :)

The kickin' Ghost :) will most likely be shooting this here shot >>>

PS, And Papie's an aggressive player - I wouldn't be surprised at all, if it turns out to be my shot that he shot.

I will let RBL have his fun...But I do think that particular shot, won me that game...and maybe the next one too...;)

PS..Dennis, wasn't that tournament called "Legend's"...not "World"..? I know it was one of Grady's, and I think he named all of his tourneys, "Legends of One Pocket"..

My shot selection is not a bad one for a guy looking to get some weight. (either that or I had too much egg nog) Your shot shows too much speed and will scare many away. Not only that, it looks like your shot will also take out that ball by the side pocket.

Yes I looked at posting that shot.:( If you didn't make the shot the CB would probably stop by the side and leave a free bank shot. ;)

rods shot is easier to execute
ghosts gets the 5 closer to the hole
but leaves a clear shot to take out the 2 balls even tho there is distance
i think i prefer rods shot

I'm not THAT agressive (nor suicidal)... :D

The balls were coming off the rails, like a mexican jumping bean...and they were actually "clammy"...It's very humid in South La, and we were almost playing outdoors...You had to be there...Your patented 2-3 rail reverse english kick shots, were unplayable...(even for you)..

Heres Pat Fleming's take on it, in his sales catalogue---->

"The Belle of Baton Rouge Casino hosted the event in its airy atrium. The 95 player field necessitated evening only
competition. Despite the time constraints, Accu-Stats was able to garner thirteen new videos. The Diamond tables
were tight and unforgiving. The humidity added to the frustration when balls were missed or banked short, but isn’t this
what one pocket is all about?
The four and a half hour final was plagued by tight pockets and humid conditions and was revised to a race to four.
The commentary is as good as the match as Bill Incardona and Ronnie Allen put Hall and Marquez through a rigorous critique."

Uncle Rod....You must be high on eggnog also....with the speed to kick the 5 in, and the cueball spinning off the long rail - the cueball is not ending up by no damn side pocket  it's going all the way, or almost all the way, uptable...

- The Ghost of One Pocket Past

PS, Maybe Papie's shot was that he kicked the 5 off of the bottom rail similar to 'stallin' Frank's' shot ;) except Papie did it with offensive intent - kicking it into the stack to carom something into his hole, with the cueball coming off of the bottom rail and up towards the side pocket.

Rod's shot all day long.

If he leaves you low next you can remove that ball of his and hide your 7. Or give it a roll at the pocket and leave him long.
