From this angle it sure looks like the 14 is "on", especially since the ball can be forced one way or the other. But obviously it's not makeable, or you wouldn't have put up the example.

I'd most likely draw off the 9 ball to bring the CB back onto the 14. The 9 should end up somewhere around the opposite side pocket.

There are several shots available, but it's important to not leave the opponent where he can improve his position. The 8-7 combo is makeable from uptable on his side. And if I were to leave him on the foot rail he can bank to improve his position. It's a trickier layout than it appears at first glance, even though the shooter is in the catbird seat.

I'd bank the 9 to my hole and draw whitey back in behind the 14. Whitey

I'm going off the 14 ball 2 rails too the upper l/h pocket. All I have to do is get the cue ball to the other long rail, pretty easy lag.

Agreed, this would be my choice also.

Looks like it's pointed a few inches above the pocket - close enough to be thrown in. If missed it could leave a bank, of course...

r/s long rail, then head rail back towards other long rail. It's all ball speed, I wouldn't even aim the object ball in this spot, aim the carom.
