Default Mistakes: Hall vs. Reyes

As the title of this thread implies, these are not your commonly seen & executed one-pocket shots. Buddy has the lower left-hand pocket. What do you think Buddy shot and did here?

P.S. I have pointed out Teddy "The Greek" in the top photo. He is a longtime gambler & one-pocket player in this area, we've played many times, on a pool table & on a snooker table.

Well, since this is a "mistakes" thread... I'm guessing he tried to cut the 15, missed and left Reyes a playground of options.

Can't see him trying the 1-14 combo ... ?

I'm guessing that he accidentally shot through the 14-ball and scratched in the corner, while attempting to swing the cue ball with inside follow to get shape on the 3-ball or 6-8 combo???

....or, he tried to play the same shot, but buckled the 14, but then the force follow of the cue ball came along behind and knocked it in, and he ended up with shape on the ball on the foot cushion.

Maybe he wanted to hit the six ball but hit the eight instead. I gave him credit with making the 15 ball because it's rare that he would miss a shot like that. Winding up like this is a huge mistake.

Buddy actually pocketed the 14 in his corner but he juiced up the rock with so much left that it kind of slid off the right rail and hit the other point and then scratched behind the 14. I don't feel so bad for the mistakes I've made when I see that .
