My gawd, just to even try that damn shot takes cajones! That might be one of the best shots I've ever seen. Reminds me of Efren getting hooked and shooting on the side pocket points in nine ball. Someone needs to catalog all the off-the-point shots, maybe Dr.Dave has?

i found those shots work best when the cloth has been pulled hard into the rubber and it is compressed some. this way you get the rebound back toward you more easily. the more rounded the better but there is little to actually see.

And the harder you pull it, the slower the ball comes off that cushion which would give the cue ball time to get away.
