I have a serious question that will no doubt expose my inexperience in this matter. Which is the greater spot: 9-6 or 11-7?

:

Sorry I missed this little dig of yours a month ago. While I don't have quite the pool credentials you seem to think you do and love to throw around, I apparently can read better. Petie's question was not about 9/6 and 11/7, it was about 9/7 and 11/7 all day.

Well, you're right on 2 counts and wrong on 1. You can't read better.

Is it OK if I bump it again? There's a lot of good ideas here.

P.S.
Has anyone heard from Petie in a while? His last post was some time ago.

I get weight all the time and I would rather go to 6 in a 9-6 game. Playing 11-7, the good player will make two balls and now we are playing 9-7. And the two balls come up on the spot, which is an advantage for the better player who needs to run balls. I don't know about the math, but I would rather keep my goal low. Like I would rather get 8-7 than 10-8.
