Default Ghost vs. John - end game - wwyd?

My shot --- my pocket is at the bottom right of the table in this pic --- score is 6-6, both going to 8.......tricky end game situation here - tough to find a good shot...obviously, I don't want to leave John a shot, such as a bank or a cut shot...the 12ball, 13ball and the cueball are all frozen on the rail --- and as for 2-railing the 13, I didn't like it much cuz it looks kissy, I'll leave John a cut shot on the 12ball, and I'd be shooting from 7 feet away while frozen on the rail ........so wwyd ----->

Well, Alex took a couple of minutes trying to find a shot that he could settle for, but couldn't find one....so since he was shooting off the rail, with distance, getting only one try, and with a pool cue and not his computer mouse, he decided he didn't want to take a chance on leaving me a shot where I could possibly make it, run two more and win the game...

So he decided that he liked his chances better by getting 100% safe and playing at a 5-5 score going forward = he took an intentional and left me like this >>>

To my eyes, the kiss on the two rail of the 13 looks off, so I'd probably give that a ride, using top right to narrow the angle on the 13 coming off the second rail, and to bring the cue ball down towards the short rail. If I hit the 13 good, and get it close to my hole, John will have to think twice a few times before trying to cut the 12 or bank the 11. If I saw the kiss you fear, I'd likely just come off the right side of the 12, trying to leave it as close to the rail as possible, and putting the cue ball on the long rail. If I hit it well, there'd be no bank on the 12. I'd do that rather than 2 railing the 12 out of there because I'll lose the cue ball and he'll have some kind of shot at his hole.

Just saying the chohan “bank off the point” back to your hole with the 12 is a possibility here.

2 rail the 12 towards the corner
3 rail the cue ball back to where it ( edit...to be cleat where the 12 sits ) sits
about a 4 oclock english and 1/4 ball hit should work
have to hit it hard enough to get the cue back to his pocket
otherwise you leave a 3 railer on the 1

I agree with this shot selection but with the mindset of getting the cue ball back near the long rail of my opponent's pocket. I would be most attentive in not leaving my opponent a three rail bank (basically not an option if I am near the long rail of my opponent's pocket) or a two rail bank (basically not an easy option because the angle is severe since my cue ball is near the long rail of my opponent's pocket) back to his pocket.

The kiss after the 2-railer on the 13 may not be there (and even if it were there, it may not turn out badly), but if convinced it was, then Larry's shot is good. I'd aim for a half-ball hit with low right.

I might also take a look at thinning the 12 with left CB spin. Ideally that would bring the 12 up his long rail and bring the CB to my side, which would place the 12 as a threat for a cross-corner for me.

This is a tough layout, and one that definitely will determine the winner.

Default Damp table?

I might try and kick the 12, two railing the cue ball behind the 11.

Two rail the twelve ball by his pocket towards the upper right hand pocket on your side and let the cue ball come around three rails towards his pocket.
