Might as well but if you missed this tournament, you missed some of the most fun you will ever have at a pool tournament.
First day I got there I noticed something was wrong with my sight. I normally have a night vision problem with glare but I was seeing double. Lettuce (Santa Cruz)was playing Robert the first day and both shot at white flags. LL knows the game and shoots straight and I think he has the edge but not by much. I was proud at my ole road dog and Robert held up his end for OP.Org well. No Action Bob lived up to his name by never coming back even though I through down the challenge. Second day was worst than the first for seeing anything. Seven o’clock I was looking for Othomology help and finally found someone to see me at 2:30 pm. Eye drops for dialation completely blinded me and then it was an appointment the next day for a retinal specialist to see if I could fly home or had to take the train. For some reason, the fluids in my eyeball were not functioning right. After my first exam, off to the pool room for action. Next morning, Friday, was my appointment with the retinal specialist who cleared flying home and advised me to see a specialist at home. More drops, more blindness. Off to the pool room and action until the auction. I did not participate in the auction this time because spending too much last year and at the US Open. I drew the Pilot and even though I lost, I had plenty of chances. Back to action. Then chocolate cake before bed. Saturday I vowed not to be a two and out and thank goodness we were playing races to three or it would have been two and out. I played Whitey from Oregon, a straight shootin sum of .......AND he could bank. It was two games to one and I made one of the best outs in my life to make it two to two. A very difficult cross corner and a kick in of the last ball on the same shot to give me a shot at a spot shot, which I made. Whew! Last game was pure one pocket for me, no flyers so I pretty much dominated the last game. Next game was with another straight shooter that if I went for flyers, he would win. I found this out the first game when I went for a flyer and he ran seven. Then I went into one pocket mode and won the next three. Next was Nick, my neighbor. He always says he doesn’t know one pocket, yeah and I have some beach from in Arizona for sale. First game he ran six right off and then I put a few traps on him and won the game 8-4. Next game we got into a ticky safe pushing the cue ball about an 1/8 of an inch five times in a row each. This was going no where so I tried a three rail kick safe which I missed and he ran out. He ran out next game, last game. My friend 12 squared and I did a little commentating while I was waiting for action. Then more action. Sunday was a disaster because I had not slept for days but I could hear the balls calling me so I went back to the pool room for more action. I was sick, catching a cold, seeing double and a headache. What would any normal person do? Pool players are not normal people. Food was great, the tournament was great, seeing my friends John, Billie, Mitch, Dave and others from OP.Org plus this was my home room when I lived a few miles down the road so old home week was in order. I am an action player so tournaments are a tough bug for me. Playing one pocket every shot is hard. I had plenty of chances to win every game I played. Bad decisions, bad shooting, ugh.
Did I have fun? Absolutely. Was I pissed to see so many people complaining about a tournament they didn’t attend? Yes and I’m sorry I lashed out. Did I kiss and make up with Daniel, Chris, kumbaya. Part of our memebers tournaments I like best was having so many members commenting on the stream. As someone who has done many streams, I found allowing others the opportunity to talk about the game to others, enhances their knowledge and gives different perspectives.
I can’t tell you how much fun it was waking up next door to the pool room with a three minute walk to an OPEN table.
I’m going to have to reload after my stubbornness to play even though I was blind and hadn’t played since last memebers tournament.
For all of you that I invited up to visit, bring your cue or not, there are plenty here.
I was really glad to see my life long friend JOHN, I’m sorry I spent so much time in action that we didn’t get to spend more time together.

It was nice seeing you again, KY. One of my favorite pictures (which I took w/Steve's camera) was the one of you a Steve sweating a match together. :)

And w/all you health issues, it appears you have one more to add to your list: lackofparagraphitis! Hit the enter button once in a while will you? Until next time my friend...

runonsentences express ones character much better with this group than perfect grammar. I actually understand his post, it has the Bill feel:heh.
