I'd try to fire the 10 into the 5, hopefully creating some action towards my hole, and stun the cue ball downtown.

good eye frank
the only problem is if the 11 isnt wired can busty see the 3 to cut/carom it in??
(thats why i tried to hit the 3)
i guess thats why you said "if its wired"??

another question if it wasnt wired what do you like??

Actually my choice would be to thin off the eleven to get on the other side of the long rail behind the five. Nothing fancy is needed here. I just want to make it difficult for him to get me back on the other side of the stack. I will wait for a better opportunity.

I see a shot no one has mentioned.

It's a shot I shoot a lot and am very confident with.

Cue ball into the 7 ball and draw the cue ball down the rail into the jaws of the pocket.

Bill, I believe you mean the three ball (the ball on the rail near the side pocket). The seven is the brown ball buried in the stack. I also believe others have refered to the five as the three. The five is just below the nine and appears to be the ball closest to Bustamante's pocket.

That was the variation of the shot Senor choose and I agree with you both.
Rod.
P.S. After looking again I see you're not playing off the 10 ball. I like both shots but like Senors better for the possible offensive value.

I'm hopelessly confused.

Don't feel confused Cary, sometimes these guys just assign a number to a ball for no particular reason:).

I had not watched this match any further than the three pics I posted. I was quite surprised by Niels' shot choice, maybe he needs to register here and get a little learnin'. Here's what he did (he shot the 19 ball:D):

He left it here for Bustamante:

Some variation of your shot is assuredly correct in my opinion. Here is the way I see it.

I would be thinking mostly about CB here. Hit it with some left and force forward. Any way you hit that 9 will be good I think.

tyler to me the problem with the cueball leave
is the 3?/5? ball (the solid below the 9)
if busty can back cut or carom into the stripe into the pocket he will probably get alot of balls

cant tell if that cut is not available with that cueball leave
