Road trip [sic] part I

Having a ball...Met Tom Suarez (Sactown Tom) and Mike Markulis (Chuck's son) at Hard Times Sac..Knew Chuck, but had never met Mike, and what a pleasure it was. Plus Ron Lilies, and several old friends... Played the Baby for a few hours, getting 9/7 and broke about even...John (as you heard) fell out of the bathtub and screwed up his back,,(the girl was unhurt)... We had planned on coming back to Phx together, but that was put on hold. Spent a few days in Mtn View, at California Billiards, probably the neatest pool room in the country, along with Hard Times Sac... The only person I beat was cry baby Gus Briseno (he accused me of stalking him)...I lost to Chris (the owner) and Shakey Dave (the manager)...but only because I refused to make a ball...Averaged about 8-10 shots a game...I think they finally started stalling with me..... Wound up a few hundred loser, but thats OK, I hit the casinos for about 1200 on the way up. So California's economy is still in trouble.

Was getting ready to head home, from SJ, when John called, and said he is feeling better, so I am in Placerville at my son's house, and will meet JH tomorrow (Fri) and we will leave for Phx. Saturday

So we have a 71 year old "gimp" with a sore back, and an even older drunk guy, heading down to Phx, via L.A. and Vegas...What could possibly go wrong ???...

Good to see you having fun! Look forward to your return and hope you and John are able to play in the $1500 added one pocket at Kolbys the first weekend of November, limited to 32 players bud. Get back so I can give you a chance at your money.

I played a little one pocket today at Hard Times and broke even, a sure sign that things are on the upswing.

In case things do not go as well as planned, my plane ticket home is already paid for.
