Bud Harris always mentioned the, 'Eufala Kid' as being one of the best in the Bay area.
Canadian Pete and Tommy the Sailor lived in the Chicago in the mid 60's thru the mid 70's. Tommy played all games pretty good including 3C, his best game was 1 pocket.

Thank you Steve. Salt was an old friend. That picture of Salt with me and Bucktooth looks like it was taken when CA Billiards was in Mountain View.

Now listed with the other player interviews:

Bob Jewett, who is also from the SF area I believe, said that where I transcribed Bob Bills [?] that name is correct, so my question mark can go away. However where it says Milbury, it is supposed to be Millbrae, a town near SF.

Can you fix these two of my mistakes Cincy? Thank you!!!

Nice interview, thanks for posting. I ran into Salt several times when I lived in the bay area during the 90s, but never knew his history. But he did piss off a friend of mine and Henderson's because he steered him into playing Wade Crane. What made it worse is Salt would laugh about it when they would see each other. Funny, not funny 🤣😂

Not to suggest anything about my old pal Jimmy, who didn't show much speed by the time I met him in the 90's, but can anyone confirm whether he ever actually ran 96 balls?

Certainly I cannot Tobe, but lots of players could run a 100 back then, when straight pool was commonplace -- and pockets tended to be large. I never did btw, even under those conditions
