Billy, please forgive me my dumb question, but if you send two balls to Gabe's side, and leave the other two uptable, why would you want to leave the cueball on the other side?

Maybe because it was Gabe that shot it.

You want to be in line to win if you make the bank. By using inside english your playing position for the middle ball. Set it up and shoot it, remember to hit the bank thinly for best results.
