---------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is something new for the Fall Follies at Southern Billiards in Starkville, MS. Before anyone says "December ain't fall", the date had to be changed because of the new Johnny Cash Festival taking away all the hotel/motel rooms.

Their regular 9 ball tourney will still be held on Sat and Sun and the Juniors 9 ball on Fri nite. The one pocket is replacing the 10 ball ring game that was usually held on Fri nite. The Juniors will not interfere as it is held on the Gandys with the Diamonds reserved for the One Pocket.

For any of you that have not been to Southern Billiards I can tell you it is a great olde timey pool hall. No booze, no loud juke box, just pool. It is owned and run by the Gilmer family and they love the game and the players so you know you will be treated right. Also, in addition to the tourney play there is always someone there to provide action if you are in the mood.

Hope to see some new friends there, Pel

Anybody here?

Anybody here?

Three entries so far: Harold McAbee, Grady Mathews, and yours truly. Surely someone from here can make it Starkville. Anyone interested?

Jerry Slivka, wins Southern Billiards one pocket tourney. Justin Cone was second and my friend the Pelican, unfortunately didn't get in the money. He drew Grady his first match. Better luck in the spring my friend.
