i think i would do this
move both his balls to my side and hide him behind the stack
EDIT I MIGHT MOVE THE CUE BALL FORWARD IF THE SCRATCH WAS AVOIDABLE
IT WOULD PREVENT A CROSS BANK

You have a sizable lead, you need balls driven up table. No matter what, you keep putting whitey on the bottom rail, forcing your opponent to stick his neck out. The 7 ball isn't doing anything for you, move it to where it is. DON'T TOUCH THE STACK. DON'T LOSE THE CUE BALL.
ALERT
I HAVENT HAD MY MORNING COFFEE YET..
if this is wired earl i think would shoot it.......

even though the (7)? looks wired for a 3 or 4 ball combo, I resist my urges!
I for sure come off the 7 ball and to the end rail like a few have mentioned, but I think when I shoot it, the 7 is going to bank over to his long rail which may tie up balls to prevent a one time long bank but more so because I think that's the way the shot lies naturally. Just a little left spin.
I would go off the ball to the right of the eight ball and put the cue ball on the end rail. It would also open up a couple of balls on my side.

is it too soon to know what Earl shot??This is the shot I like also and for the reasons you stated.
If you come off of the 7 ball and drop the cue ball to the end rail, you have to make sure your opponent cant see the right edge of the 8 ball.. If he can he will thin the 8 ball opening all those balls to his side and send the cue ball up table doubling you up and possibly put you on the defnsive the rest of the match.... PROVIDING the 10/8 isnt wired to his hole once he moves the 7
