I just discovered 1 pocket probably 2 months ago while waiting for my turn in my 9ball league. (I don't really enjoy 9ball). Well I was fortunate enough to see my first game with great players such as Cliff Joyner, Paul Song, Big Tom, and other various heavy hitters. I was at Mr. Cues 2 in Atlanta.
I know they have a tournament every Wednesday. It's $20 entry fee. Which I guess isn't too bad. I'm wanting to learn it but the best way to learn is to play better players. But I know that many times better players can't stand playing people who don't really have a clue how to play. Which this tournament is usually made up of good 1pocket players who only play 1pocket.
Are there any other tournments here in the Atlanta/Athens area? Especially if it is a smaller entry fee.
