I watched several of Beard's games with different opponents, most notably his match with Tony Fargo. I'm sure Fred doesn't bank the balls into the holes as well as he did 30 years ago, but his strategic game is probably unmatched by anyone. Observing and absorbing his tactics is like getting pennies from heaven...
