I'm going to guess he banked the 8 for position on the 1 ball or banked the 1 ball and looked for some kind of action off of the 6/9, playing position on the 15. I like the 8 out of those two choices.

Here's the shot that Efren shot to leave Alex in the layouts position. I can't go back and make the lines and layout all line up but this is close.

No Freddy, you didn't say a word. It took Efren about 2 minutes to decide to shoot this shot and Danny D. said that Efren needs to shoot the 4 uptable and out of play. After the shot you said "I think Alex has got to swing at the 5".

Well, Efren did move the ball that probably most need to be moved. However, I can think of two other things it would have been good to also do on the shot, both of which he failed to do.

One is to hide Alex from seeing the only ball on Efren's side (the 5-ball).
Two is to leave Alex stuck underneath the balls in such a way that Alex is forced to push balls up table himself.

Of course, it isn't always easy to accomplish all of this on one reasonable-to-execute shot :)

I showed eggsackly how I would have played it, more finesse, less drama... Efren made a rookie mistake shot...:rolleyes:

I taught Alex everything I knew about 1P. (in about only 3 minutes) He was a real quick study...He was vewy gwateful ! :D

PS..Let me also add, Darren Appleton spent a week with me, (working on his one pocket game)... prior to the '08 DCC.

He finished 7th in '07... But, after only a short time, under my tutelage,...he managed to finish 37th in '08. (go figure)

I can only cram so much knowledge into a hard-headed "limey", who never misses a ball...wheras cramming a Pinoy's brain, is easy...they are very absorbent.

Sand Hound <---drops more names than El Beardo,..but he wishes Darren would speak to him again...(JK Daz) I would love to have played the Chicago squeeze artist (Tom Spencer ?) who knocked you out...I would torture him
