i dont know how to show in weii the jump but you hit the eight jump over the blockers and come 3-4 rails as you bank the 8 and maybe make the 15 or not leave a helluva safe.
in all your experience do shots like this come up for serious consideration??

Larry,

I've jumped over balls after contact with an object ball while playing 9-Ball and if the situation presented itself in One-Pocket I would shoot it accordingly. Here's a spot where it is not that difficult and also probably the correct shot. It's easy to jump over the 10 & 12 ball after shooting the 11.

This one is with draw. The cueball slides a different distance before snagging when hit with differing speed.

This is a classic jump/contact situation that Grady has demonstrated so well on one of his fine one-pocket tapes. I may not have positioned the layout perfectly, but this is a beautiful shot to behold: ~Doc

Dockie, this is a variation of the winning shot that I use in my pool screenplay, Roxanne's Game. http://bankingwiththebeard.com/?p=547 The hero Mick, banks a straight back and jumps over a full rack and runs out. I stole the shot from the only guy I know that invented it and then used it with impugnity, Sir Ronald Allen.

doc i have that video and dvd?. its an incredible demonsration of a concept and its application. i especially liked the 8 and 9 balls on the opposite short rails and grady makes the 8 and jumps the ball to hit the rail and rebound down table for the 9. nice shot
