O.G. Stands for "Original Gangster". It is like saying someone has been in the game for a long time. Or is a respected veteran of X. It is a compliment for sure.

Okay so, I always go back and listen to my own commentary, searching for a way to be more likable, factual and thorough (I can't speak for Box. He's got his merits about the game and I know that his originality is an acquired taste) but, I have to say that, despite whatever coverage you may or may not like, I really enjoyed watching Rodney and Raphael go to battle in this event. Rodney surprised the hell out of me as I really had no clue that he played one-hole. Guys like Rodney are good for the game. He's got plenty of opinions but one thing about him, he always shows up, suited and ready and doesn't make a ton of excuses when he loses. Raphael; say what you will about him... I know about some of his past troubles, but he was a joy to be around at this event when at other times, he was an incredibly tough 'read'. Let't face it guys, we all have our proverbial crosses to bare. And in this instance, with all of our shortcomings, Box's poetic style, Raphael's temperament, Rodney's hunger for attention and many difficulties that I have when doing these events, there was still some magic in this match which, inspires me to keep going.

Thank you for posting on this. I really want to do this sport justice and it is one of my resolutions this year to listen harder to everyone that may have a suggestion or a criticism. Currently, POVPOOL is experiencing some challenges that are totally unexpected and yes, it involves money and financing to upgrade and grow the presentation that we provide. I recently made a punch-list of upgrades to our business which range between $20k - $25k. If possible, the changes would be pretty breathtaking and would be noticeable at every venue we visit, large or small. Oddly, I am not quite sure what motivates me at this very moment to bring this to your attention, except to say that when I read a thread about a match or an event which had the potential to be great and yet to me, only met 'half measures'; my heart aches a little and I have to say what's on my mind. Any feedback on this may actually be worth starting a new thread, but not necessarily by me. I would be curious to know from some of you out there, what would be a good business model that would not only be sustainable but also support the rest of the industry. At a base level, I have always been interested in only this endeavor. Anything less for me would be a failure and this is why I do not copy or follow anyone along this path. I would never feel either satisfied or justified if we were the only ones to profit off the backs of other enormously talented players, promoters and hardworking room owners.

Definitely food for thought and I hope this isn't just the caffeine talking, as I sit at a table watching, 3 Cushion Billiards being played at this beautiful venue, The Casino Del Sol.
