This guy was kind of drunk in the hallway trying to round up a game.. just curious of anyone knows who he is. He was a socialable enough guy, just had a few too many

EDIT: Brian White - He was a cool guy, trying to match up outside the TAR room. He had a few drinks in him at that point and was having a good time, so you know the way those kinds of negotiations go:D

This guy had a few too, and was badgering Billy to play him. His first name is Mike. The 2nd guy (to the right) was always around in the thick of things and he seemed to be looking out for this guy

EDIT: Little Mikey from Nashville in the red sweatshirt and Justin Cone

Any idea on this guy?
EDIT: Scooby

This guy is the rich guy (from Grand Theft Auto fame?) that played several people there, including Dippy, Ricky Byrd and Alex (one game) Was there also another guy with him, that got a crazy spot from Scott 25-2 or something? Is that guy a heavyset guy? If so, I think I know who he is

This guy is obviously well known. he was around Billy a lot but I don't know his name.
EDIT: Larry Schwartz - I kinda knew it was him, but I think at some point I overheard someone say it was great to see him again, and that he had left and went back home, then I saw him again later - and it got me confused on whether that was him or not

These 2 guys were playing together in the Action room. The first guy shoots well, very deliberate. The other guy, was some guy I heard people say was good action. I think these 2 were playing a hunnert a game and the 1st guy won easily, but like they say, the other guy kept playing

EDIT: Tommy Stevens from Middletown, OH. - This guy did shoot well. He has a very slow controlled stroke and was coming up with some good shots in onepocket, moving balls to his hole. He caught my eye enough that when I saw him again, I setup and filmed some of him playing the guy below.

That's who I thought it was... Larry.... it's just that I heard something at one point, that threw that thought out the window. I went for days thinking that was Larry, then someone said something that made me think I had the wrong guy... I should have went with my first instinct.:D

The story of the cash on the table, was the Mike guy wanted to play Billy and wanted to put 1000 to try and make sure they had a game. Everyone was pushing his money back to him and trying to get him to pick it up off the table. Billy, cool as he is, even shot a ball thru the pile

hehe.... no, I think we're ok. It was all harmless stuff.

Tommy - have about a 1/2 hour of him playing the other guy in the picture some onepocket for a 100 a game. Both quiet guys that just shot pool, nothing else

Little Mikey - have some footage of him trying to get Billy to play some. He wanted to toss a 1000 up, just to try and make sure he got to play and was basically saying, if he didn't play, Billy could keep the 1000. He just came off as a guy that had a few to many drinks and just wanted to play. I don't know why he wanted to play Billy so bad... any history there? Or did you just want to play a Dr?:D

Brian White - have about 10 mins of footage outside the TAR room, with him trying to make a game with a few different people. He isn't the type that is hooting and hollering, he was civil about his negotiating. Nothing bad said either.

All of these people were having very open conversations around 20 or 30 other people and they all saw me standing there with my camcorder. I want to show all the pool fans out there what it's like at the Derby, but at the same time, I am respectful of the people I am releasing video of.

In fact, soon we will get to some John Brumback footage !!! I missed some of your dominating matches, but I do have a couple where you just slowly tortured them and dominated, instead of those boring ones, where you run 5 and out a few times:D

Thanks a lot for the names John... feel free to share some stories about any of them, if you wish. It helps to get to know some of these people's names and a little bit about them, so next time I go there, it will give me a opening to approach them and introduce myself.

Larry was backing Scott when he was giving some heavy set guy 40 - 3 in one-pocket and every other foul did not count, race to three for $2500. Scott one the first Scott beat him 3 - 1. Larry made a comment to the opponent, "20 - 1 odds that he would not win a game. The heavy set guy put up $100 just to win $2000 for the game he did win. The heavy set guy really could not play pool.

Is this the guy that played Scott with all that weight?

If so, he had some serious bricks in his pocket. I think those guys were high rolling it in the casino too.

I got a PM that said the "rich video dude" is Amjet (pronounced Amjay) and he is from Chicago... he plays high stakes poker with people like Michael Jordan.

That story you're telling John, I have a bit of that on video... In that picture with Scott and Shane in it, that part of the video is where Scott had just came back from the casino and was telling some of the story of that, where they had 400 and some thousand on the table.. he was explaining some of it to Shane. He seemed kind of shell shocked

I'll post it at some point.
