As I said earlier not moving the 8 was a bad move.

The important thing now is to get off 2 fouls. Shoot anything and stick the cue ball into the stack. That will give you new life to kick at the 8 once again.

I don't understand why any good player would not see this situation in the beginning.

It isn't just the 8 anymore. It's a whole raft of balls. Some are more dangerous than the 8 now.

I think you will get this option or something similar after getting off 2 fouls. I would wait until then to shoot this shot.

I'm surprised nobody chose this shot, it's the only thing I would consider (on two fouls). It's also what LVC shot.
