I think he must have two-railed the one ball with holding english, and drawn the cueball a little for a choice of banks.

Two rail the one toward his hole and stick the cue behind the nine.

i wont keep you in suspence
rafael 2 railed the 1 and had the cue ball REPLACE the 1 ball completely froze to the 9.it was more than just stick the cue ball
i know this is not an OMG shot but i liked it
the 2 stripes in the middle bank to steves hole if he didnt hide the cue ball

I think that was the correct shot and was the one I would shoot.

Didn't see the result until I had decided to shoot it.

What did Cook do next ?
Tough spot , 90 percent of the table is cutoff from that spot. Just roll down I guess. Taking a scratch wont help the situation. ? curious what happens next III ?

I like making one, hopefully two balls in that upper left corner on this shot and leaving him behind those 2 balls so he cant see the ball in front of his hole. this could also open up the 5 ball bank for him. something like that. its hard to see just how they lay. what i have noticed is that 3 in front of cooks hole could benefit rafael (as a bank) if he gets something near his hole and puts some pressure on, no need to move it right now.

I like that too, now that you mention it. Raf needs balls in play and that (7?) ball is not that close to Cook's pocket. Good call.

Tyler and Steve;
I like that ... if it's like u say in the diagram? the solid 1 n 1/2 diamonds in front of Cook's pocket.

Spin bank the 3 ball and put the cue in the opposite corner.

Since Martinez needs all the balls I would consider if I were he to kick one rail into the 11 ball, hiding the cue ball behind the 5 ball.

I agree, If the angle is there, for him to do that, that would be the ideal shot. He's not going to get anywhere, bunting the 7 (or whatever it is) away...time for an agressive move.

Raphael "WE" are behind but Steve Cook needs 3 correct ... hard to ignore a ball a diamond n 1/2 away ... hard to ignore the two stripes i'll call them 11 n 12 that dont go in either's pocket but when we hide Steve or try to "trap" Steve couldn't we end up in a tougher situation when we Martinez comes back to the table ... yay or nay?

I still like what you are describing Incardona ...
post # 8 says the score is 7 to 0 in balls , I want to move that ball and re-asses the scenario after.
