Tomorrow the 31st is the final day of the pheasant season. 5 of us guys hunted Sunday from noon till we limited out (15 roosters) at 4. Temp started at -2 and raised all the way up till 2 above at 3pm. Winds 5 to 15 mph made for a crisp breeze. Our 7 dogs were all as gassed as we were in the end. All snow has a crust and most has a second crust 4 or so inches under the first. The lightest areas had 8" of snow the drifts were up to 4'. The dogs can stay on top more then we can but they wallow plenty.
Here is tmrws forecast and yes we are going to be out there. Supposed to be -12 at 8am so that south wind has to warm us up fast.
