Many, many years ago I saw a bio of Jackie Gleason and they showed him playing golf with Arnold Palmer and pool with Willie Mosconi. This was all real--not a show but rather a documentary. In the golf episode, Jackie is ahead on the first day but he celebrates that night and comes to the tee the next morning with a colossal hang over. He hits his drive at the first hole and, no joke, lands in the crotch of a tree. You can imagine how it went from there. When he played Willie, they played straight pool and it came down to Jackie needing 4 to win it all and Willie needing 25 or so. The shot was short and straight in but Jackie jarred the ball in the pocket and Willie ran out. He, Jackie, was a very talented man.
