Absolutely illegal in bank play, but useful in one-pocket.

As a tool, it does have its' uses... Ball removal, clicking a ball uptable to your side, and the cross corner, as the link shows.

This is the shot a lot of people call the "Jersey Red" shot. As NFS said not legal in banks.

PS, I don't know if Red invented it, but he could make it very well. Ball first then rail and kick the ball in.

That shot that you are showing is a shot that I broke Bugs with at Bensingers. Except it was straight back, not cross corner. That shot is featured in one of my books and one of my DVDs. I tell the Bugs story on the DVD. I have not seen it put up anywhere else so far.

As far back as I remember, Jersey Red was shooting the shot in the early 60s.

someone at the poolroom asked me if i knew this shot.
set up the bank and i made it on the first try:eek:

i tried to explain the shot to a friend over the phone but he wasnt getting it so i thought id find it on you tube but all i found was the bank nfs linked

i guess my friend will have to buy your dvd now:)
