Coupla things re. the DCC
Coupla things re. the DCC
Coupla things/info re. the DCC...especially for those that haven't been before, or only once...
Imo, unless you're a 9ball player/fan (and if you are, you shouldn't be here reading this
), of the 9 days of the tournament, the first 6 are the best days to be there....#1. Because you will see the Banks and the One Pocket divisions of the DCC, and #2. Because it's less crowded then, particularly the first 2-3 days - if you want to get on a tournament table to gamble, or get on one of the tables in the private az/onepocket.org room, it's much easier the first few days...
The rooms at the tournament venue casino are $120 wkday $140 wkend a night..
...that said...here's some good info for any of you that are driving in, and are on a budget...8 miles away are a Holiday Inn and a Hampton Inn for about $95 a night....but about 10-12 miles/15-20 minutes away from the casino, on a real pretty country highway, there's a Motel 6 - it's only $50 a night...not too many people know that it's there, but those that do jump on it - it may be already booked, so if you're interested you should make a reservation now....a friend of mine stayed there last year during the tournament, and he said it was fine - clean, quiet, etc....here's the name and contact info >>>
